Discover how to restore Anderlecht to domestic dominance in FM24. This complete Anderlecht FM24 rebuild guide covers tactics, top transfers, wonderkids, and squad-building tips for success in Belgium and Europe.
Bring this giant back to the big time after their brief absence.
Introduction
So the purpose of this guide is to take over at Anderlecht, create FM24 tactics using an evidence based approach. With these guides I will take over every club in the Belgium Pro League and build an effective tactic for them.
The main problem for most managers when they take over a new club is they don’t know who their best players are. This is where our guides come in to help you.
This guide is an interesting one, we are taking on Anderlecht in an attempt to dominate the league again.
Anderlecht FM24 Rebuild Club Overview
Our first stop for the Anderlecht FM24 rebuild is looking at the board and supporter objectives. The objectives are important because it gives a direction, an idea as to the identity the club and supporters want. Please these two groups and half your job is done.
Let’s look at the Anderlecht board objectives to start with. They want to maintain the best youth system in the country and work within a wage budget.
These are easy objectives and aren’t going to dictate the way you play your football. Maintaining the best youth system is literally down to the club finances and how they can keep up with your request. What you can do is support this objective by using youth players, brining the best youth coaches and head of development.

The wage budget is common sense really, the board obviously want to become self sustainable and want you to stick by the wage budget to do this. The main ways to achieve this is at minimum finish in the competitions that you are in and not go over the wage budget.

Now it;s onto the supporter objectives, they want to develop players using the club’s youth system. What this means is that we need to use as many youngsters in the first team as are ready. Now there are a number of ways to do this, but I tend to favour the Barcelona approach. This is blooding 2-5 youngsters a season who we think are ready.
Anderlecht FM24 Rebuild Squad Guide
Our next step and arguably the most important for the Anderlecht FM24 rebuild guide is sorting our squad. This is where we identify our best players, our strengths and weaknesses, which in turn it gives us an idea of the shape of our team.
It’s quite an easy process, I like to sort the team into three groups. The key players, the squad players and the good bye players. I determine this on the current ability rating, anyone over 3 stars is a key player, anyone at 3 stars is a squad player and then the rest are bye players.
Most players in the third group are going to be transfer listed, the exception being anyone under 24 with high potential ability, over 3 stars.

As you can see the key players are in a mess, some of them are at the end of their career and some are on loan. This is why Anderlecht are a good team to rebuild on Football Manager.

The good news is that there are a lot of young players between the ages of 20-24 so there potential is easier to recognise. Looking at the squad, we can see there is a lot of attacking potential for Anderlecht in the future.
Transfer Recommendations for Anderlecht in FM24
In terms of transfers recommendations it comes as a two fold requirement. Firstly the team needs to have an injection of life, with a number of key players coming to the end of their career according to the age curves we wrote about. So this means finding players to replace them and can take the club forward.
Secondly, we need to build the defence up in the future as currently it doesn’t look too good. Unfortunately the youth seems to be quite unbalanced, with a lean towards the attack. Now while I lean heavily towards attacking football, I do realise you need some defence.
So with that in mind, some of our first targets for the Anderlecht FM24 rebuild. We are going to target players between the ages of 20-24 and from leagues outside the top 5. So here they are:
- Charlie Cresswell, Leeds, 21.
- Rodrigo Guth, Fortuna Sittard, 23
- Archie Brown, Gent, 22
- Matias Moreno, Belgrano, 20
- Ryan Alebiosu, Kortrijk, 22
Anderlecht FM24 Rebuild Tactics & Best Formation
So here we are, the system which is going to propel our Anderlecht FM24 Rebuild guide. Using the data we have spoken about above, we have developed a system and formation to get you started.
I have gone with a 433 as it is very obvious to me that the team are set up to play in this way. The main benefits of the system is the crowding of the centre midfield and the attacking options that are available. The most dangerous place to concede possession is in the centre and in your own half.

As for the attacking options, you can create all sorts of movement chaos with the full backs, wingers and forward. Basically the 433 suits any team because it is so adaptable for your attacking players.
The way I have set up is to use Dolberg as deep lying forward to drop deep. This means the inside forwards are able to attack the space left by him and any gaps the defence have left by tracking him. The wingbacks and supporting wingbacks to then push into the space vacated by the wingers giving us overload options.
Anderlecht FM24 Save Game Challenges
I can see two main challenges that branch off this save game.
Firstly, Anderlecht and Belgium have always been known as great youth producers. So this gives me the idea that we could start a youth recruitment game and create a long term game seeing their careers through.
Secondly, I would love to create this Anderlecht FM24 rebuild into a European force. This means creating a team good enough to win the Champions League from outside the top 5 leagues.
Why choose Anderlecht for an FM24 Rebuild?
Anderlecht have a rich and wonderful history, but have fallen on hard times over the last few years. They aren’t the dominate force that they used to be, whether it’s a change of era or bad management, the results are just not there at the moment.
This is a great opportunity to get this fallen giant back on their feet, and rebuild to make it even stronger and compete in Europe again.
Get Started Today
Anderlecht present a fantastic opportunity for a FM24 rebuild guide so you can get your teeth stuck in. After a the rich history in Belgium and Europe, performance has suffered over the last few years. This is a great opportunity to take this team by the scruff of the neck and charge forward.
They have the infrastructure, some of the personnel and a lot of attacking potential so Anderlecht have great place to start from. Enjoy!
