FM26 Release Info
So FM26 is scheduled to launch on the 4th November 2026. Obviously after last year where the game was delayed and then cancelled we are tentative about that date. As always there is a lot of speculation regarding when the beta release will drop, but traditionally it’s a couple of weeks before the actual release, so we think 21st October 2025.
Football Manager 26 is so far so good, releasing various blogs to introduce the new features and the new Unity game engine. It’s looking like an impressive game and some of the communication has been very good.
Another massive feature for FM26 is women’s football has been introduced. This is a really big step in football and aligns with how far the game has come, especially after the Lionesses picked up another major trophy over the summer.
FM26 Tactics
As well as the new features the tactics have had a overhaul in Football Manager 26. They have introduced both in possession and out of possession formations. I am truly excited for this because it provides more depth to playing style.
This is a great feature as the world of football tactics has been changing in the way that teams set up and react on and off the ball. Again this is a feature that’s helps you create your own playstyle in the game and I have plenty of content to support this area.
This is an area I have traditionally released on my twitter feed, this year I have been writing tactics blogs for FM26 in mind. I obviously strive to score as many goals as possible and love attacking football. If this sounds like you then you have a lot to look forward too over the next year.
FM26 Wonderkids
As usual there will be wonderkids in FM26 and we will be creating our lists on who the best ones are and for what budget. Who are the new wonderkids on Football Manager? Who is going to be the most popular player? Will our previous wonderkids be any good on FM26?
Whatever the answer to the question above we will generate who the best wonderkids are on the game, whether that be by league or position. We also look to create the best ways to progress our wonderkids.

The release date for FM26 is Tuesday 4th November. There is potentially a early beta entry which happens around 2 weeks beforehand.
Which formation is best in FM26?
The most effective formations in football manager are 433, 4231 and 442, but it ultimately depends on the players you have available.
Who are the best FM26 wonderkids?
Currently we do not know until it is released, but there are a number of players like Quenda, Yamal, Nwaneri and Endrick who are definitely on that list. Other players may include Gray, Hato and Warren Zaire-Emery.
