Introduction
The season is in full swing in the Sun Dream Team GW6. Your team will be shaping up now utilising the cups and European football to garner your points.
Let’s look at the best players, differentials and strategy tips for your dream team!
Best Premium Picks for GW6
Firstly an apology, I have been raving about Wirtz ever since Liverpool signed him and so far he has not scored many points. I would say stick with him and not lose the value by selling him, but I can understand if you decide to sell him for someone else. Let’s move on to the premium picks for this week.
So the main teams that will benefit from this week should be Man City, Man United, and Nottingham Forest. These 3 teams have the highest chance to win in the league according to our model.
I see a lot of people are dumping Salah this week as they are away to Palace, which we have as a marginal win. I mean do understand the logic, but Liverpool are a very dangerous team to play against. They seem to scrap the win in every game and Salah is always a big part of this. I’m going to stick with Salah, I think he will come good.
Haaland could be a really good choice for 12th man this week as Man City are playing Burnley. This reminds me of last season when everyone put him as captain for the Ipswich game and he scored a hattrick. If you do choose against the 12th man chip, then you always have City versus Leeds in November.
Best Mid-Priced Picks for GW6
The usual suspects at Man City Rayan Ait-Nouri and Tijjani Reijnders. Reijnders had another good weekend and against Burnley might have another one. Ait-Nouri is a class player both defensively and in possession, he looked really good at the World Club Cup.
Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch are all interesting choices for The Sun Dream Team. Gravenberch is always going to play with his skill set, unless he is suspended again. Alexis MacAllister doesn’t make the cut, as he looks like the one that will be dropped from certain games with Szoboszlai playing well in both midfield and right back.
Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, two new boys at United. It hasn’t worked the way I thought it would work so far with these two. The model is saying United have the quality to push up the table, but from what I have seen I’m not convinced. They have a great chance against Mbeumo’s old club to show how good they are.
Other mentions include Elliot Anderson and Morgan Gibbs-White at Forest with a good chance of winning. Plus Tottenham with Xavi Simons, Porro and Kudus as top choices.

Best Cheap Picks for GW6
So this is where the best cheap players for The Sun Dream GW6 are picked out. As this is still the early part of the season there are still alot of players which are ‘cheap’, meaning overlooked consistent performers. Some will have a job to do in certain weeks that make them more effective. Here are a few we are looking at:
Dilane Bakwa, £3.5m and Igor Jesus, £2.9m, both for Nottingham Forest. Bakwa is a starter for the club and it’s a just a matter of time until he gets going. Igor Jesus on the other hand is snapping up his chances and scored a number of goals under Ange.
This one is a long shot, but with Ekitike out there is a chance that Chiesa, £2.6m, will play. I think he will definitely come from the bench in Slot’s rotation, but I have feeling he will start.
Doku, £4m, while at the top end of the cheaper picks I believe this is the year for Doku. This is the season he breaks out as a superstar in a Man City team that is creating lots of high quality chances.
Pape Sarr, £3.4m, Tottenham, he has found a place in Frank’s team and he is repaying the faith with some good football. Good option if you are looking to firm up your midfield in The Sun Dream Team.
Best Captaincy Picks for GW6
So there are a number of schools of thought in the Sun Dream Team GW5 for captain. Salah is away against Palace and a lot of people seem to have moved away from him or even transferred him for this week. I’m thinking to make him captain for this week, as all know that anyone will do anything for Liverpool it is him.
Haaland is the second option. He is at home against Burnley and the thinking here is that he will repeat his performance that he had against Ipswich last year. This is a bit of a risk because I think a lot of people have written Burnley off even though they have good defence.
Then if we look outside of the box, the model fancies Man United to win at Brentford. Mbeumo was one of the top players last year, he played for Brentford and so could we see him scoring against his old club? Man United are creating a lot of chances, but not putting them away and Mbeumo looks the most likely to do it.
GW6 Fixtures to Target
So the top fixture of the week in The Sun Dream Team is Man City v Burnley, this is the potentially the high scoring Haaland fixture. Time to captain him or make him 12th man, but also get some of the supporting cast in too. Burnley away have conceded on average 3 games a game, so this means there is plenty of opportunities to score.
The next two fixtures to target are Forest v Sunderland and Brentford v Man United. While Ange has come in since I built my model, it doesn’t change much. The only thing I would warn against is getting Forest defenders, as we know Ange loves to attack and score.
The Brentford v Man United in the model shows a clear United win. The problem is a misfiring striker, a top player returning from injury and a top forward returning to his former club.
GW6 Differential Picks
Dilane Bakwa has 0%, is a first teamer for Forest and mark my words, when he starts to get going, it’s going to be really challenging to stop him. Forest have two fixtures in the next week so it gives him more time to get the fitness and familiarise himself.
Andrey Santos has 0%, and with the injuries in the first team looks to start in the midfield for Chelsea over the weekend. This means he could play in two fixtures this week, which is a massive benefit.
Unfortunately there aren’t many 0% owned players that actually play games, so these are the best I could fine.
Conclusion
So this weekend in The Sun Dream Team is the weekend that a lot of people are counting on Haaland to do the business. While I think Salah is in with a chance still, Haaland has the easier fixture and could repeat the Ipswich game last year.
Filling your midfield and forward slots with Man City players looks fairly beneficial, but also look at Man United and the options that they have. Mbeumo returning home might spur on the performance of a lifetime.
Good luck with this weekend guys!
