How to rebuild Juventus on FM24

• Juventus are going through a transition period currently, they have a few stars, but need a push in the right direction.
• Juventus want to get back on top and dominate the Serie A once again on FM24.

Welcome to the Juventus rebuild on FM24. Juventus are one of my favourite clubs and have had a fantastic history. Unfortunately they find themselves in an unusual position, in a transition wanting to go from good to great.

So this blog is the start of a series where we follow the progress of our rebuild of Juventus on FM24. This instalment will is our guide on how to set up as Juventus and the next steps for the team.

Juventus Objectives

The first thing we must look at when rebuilding a club on FM24 is the objectives of the club and supporters. Without following these objectives we are creating a rod for our own back, making life more difficult. The objectives give us a good idea of where this club wants to go.

So let’s start with the board objectives. On first impressions there is not a lot of direction here for a Juventus rebuild on FM24. It’s an interesting strategy signing players from domestic rivals, it can be expensive, but very advantageous. This means the board want to buy the best players from other title rivals in order to weaken them and strengthen us.

The other objectives are to grow the club’s reputation which means winning competitions and buying players with a good reputation. This is easily achieved through creating a filter on the player search. Increasing commercial revenue comes through signing players of high reputation, especially from different markets like Asia or the USA.

The supporters of Juventus are hardcore die hard fans. They want success and they want it now by winning the league. They have a lot of objectives, thankfully some of them synergise with the board. These include maintaining the reputation in Italy, become the high reputation club in the world and buying high reputation players.

Where they differ is that they want to sign Italian players. This could be seen in two ways, we could start a national challenge and buy all top Italian players from Inter, Napoli and Roma. The alternative is to ignore this and focus heavily on buying high reputation players.

So our next step to the rebuild of Juventus on FM24 is to work out who our strongest players are. The way in which we do this is by using the assistant reports and determining them by the star rating. We try to raise the standards by saying that 3 stars is a squad player and anyone above is a kye player. Under 3 stars means that they we be leaving unless they have a high potential.

First we are taking a look at the key players and we can see that we have a fantastic group to rebuild around. We have a good spread of players and most are young. It is worth mentioning that while players 30 or over will survive the first year, we will be letting them go and not buying anymore. This is because their ability diminishes at a faster rate and as a result their value too.

Looking at the positions available we can see their are a number of formations that are available from the 442 Attack to the 433. One thing is for sure, we can create a flat back four with this team. We can also note that we are strong in defensive right and attacking left.

Moving onto the squad players we can see that we have a range of positions available. We only have 2 strikers available so that would mean we will play one up front as with minimum depth. That leaves the midfield, 5 players to play, but in what formation? As much as it is boring, we are currently going to play a 433 DM wide.

Juventus Tactics

So on to the Juventus tactics for this FM24 rebuild. This is where we put together all of our assumptions from above in the form of a tactic. As you can probably see we are creating a culture around the club of where we want this club to go.

I always start my tactics from how we plan to score our goals and work backwards. With this tactic with have Vlahovic who will harass the defence if they are sitting back, put the pressure on and intercept passes. The real strength comes from the inside forwards who will cut inside and crash the centre. We will then overload in the centre which is the most effective place to score goals from.

Defensively there is nothing crazy here, we have a high line to compact the attack so we are not stretched. The problem with this is balls over the top when we pressure the opposition, so the guys need to be quick and the sweeper keeper needs to be alert. The wing backs will push into the positions that the inside forwards vacate to keep the pressure on.

Get started and rebuild Juventus on FM24

Juventus are going to be great rebuild on FM24. They have a great platform to work from and have some great ideas when it comes to objectives. It’s not as though Juventus have fallen apart, it’s just a case that they are not as dominant. With a bit of tweaking this club can get back on top and dominate Serie A.

The main strength of Juventus on FM24 is that they have a few young key players that you can rebuild around. This means that they need to be locked down on contracts and own their position. The weakness of the team is the lack of depth in some positions in wide areas. While a few players are flexible like Chiesa you want more depth in case of injuries and suspensions.

The opportunity at the club is that you could damage other title challengers by buying their best players. So this means you strength while they weaken. The threat to the rebuild is buying the wrong players, additionally you need to be focusing on one position at a time.
