Let’s take Celta Vigo from good to great on FM24!

Celta Vigo objectives

So the first thing we need to look at is the board and supporter objectives on FM24. These objectives will give us guidance as to how they want the club to be run. You can look at this in two different ways, either they are restrictions or a way of guiding you. Ignore these objectives at your peril as when things are tough this is what could see you keep or lose your job.

Celta Vigo FM24 board objectives

Looking at the board’s objectives for Celta Vigo on FM24 we can see that they recognise that it is time to push on. They want to grow the reputation of the club, we do this by qualifying and winning competitions as well as buying high reputation players. As well as this you can have feeder clubs on different continents and also buying players from these other continents.

They are also looking to make the club self sustainable by having a handle on the wages and the contract lengths of players. They want to secure signings for the mid term of 3 years in the first team and limit the resources tied up in players over 32. Other than that, we can play how we want too.

Celta Vigo FM24 supporter objectives

The supporters have different aspirations to the board. They want to invest in the youth and develop them through the club to the first team. We need to develop a culture at the club and that starts with the coaching staff. We need to replace every coach with a coach that is high in motivation and working with youngsters.

Also we need a top head of youth development and get scouts that can spot potential talent. On top of that mentor groups are going to be important to development of the younger players.

Celta Vigo First 11

So our next step is to look at our first team and what we can do with them. The way in which we do this is build the team around the right players, not just any player. Looking at the assistant reports we then sort the players into three categories.

The first is players under 3 stars, they will be replaced unless they have exceptional potential. We then have the 3 star players which make up the squad, and then we have the players over 3 stars, they are the key players.

Celta Vigo FM24 key players

Looking at the key players for Celta Vigo on FM24 we can see have a really strong forward line. Iago Aspas has been a fantastic performer for the club, and he will be a focal point. We have two fantastic winger too, and we need to take advantage of this. 4231 is looking like a real possibility with these key players.

Celta Vigo FM24 squad player

Moving onto the squad, we have a massive squad. There are positives and negatives to this, it shows how flexible we can be in terms of formation, but it means we have loads of players at an average level. The best way to navigate this situation is settle the team on a formation and build around it. We then move the players on that are underperforming or not getting first team football.

Celta Vigo Tactics

The next step is to build a tactic with all the information and assumptions that we have so far.

With Celta Vigo on FM24 we will start with the attack as that is where are key players sit. Apparently Aspas’ best position is AMC, as we know he is a big goal threat I have given him the shadow striker role. Both the wingers are great as wingers and inside forwards, this gives me an idea.

Strand Larsen is a much weaker goal threat, but he can play deep lying forward. This way he could potential drag defender with him, or he could join the build up play. This then allows our wingers and AMC to overload the centre of their defence.

Celta Vigo FM24 tactics

As we are playing two DMs that means we can allow our two fullbacks to push forward. While this is going on we have one DM set to deep lying playmaker to spray long balls and hit the wingers or forward to knock down. This is giving us a 6 man attack, which is good at home or against weaker teams.

Get started with Celta Vigo today

Taking Celta Vigo from good to great on FM24 is an exciting challenge. They have a range of possibilities, and they have the right players in forward positions. While the team definitely needs some investment, I think they can achieve more.

The strength of the team strength of the team is the attacking line. The AMR/AML/AMC are all very strong players and they just need to be supplied balls to do their job. In terms of weakness in the team, we can see that the defence is of average ability, I need to recruit towards how we defend, which we will see in the data.

The opportunity in this team is that we have such a big squad, we can sell anyone we do not need to reinvest in the club. This is the sort of sustainability we will need to perform over the next few years. The threat in the team is the lack of players with decent potential, no wonder the fans want to focus on the youth development.
