Player Recruitment: End of Season Current Ability (Man Utd)

What we expected through using the current ability recruitment method was, as long as we had good coaches and scouts, it was basic but common sense approach. The next step is to analyse the successes and failures this season see how we can improve.

The way in which we improve the team this year, is to set the team out in the formation according to their current star ability. We then divide the team into 3 teams, defence, midfield and forwards and add up the stars in each team. The defence is made up of 5 players, 1 goal keeper and 4 defenders, the midfield is made up of 3 players, and the forwards are made up of 3 players.

This way ensures that we invest in the weak areas and into the first team. Whichever player was playing there will be dropped, and then it acts as an indicator as to how good the team is.

Man Utd results

This was a wonderful season, it really was. The results that we managed for Man Utd were unreal, and from January onwards the team gelled and performed admirably. As a result we defended on all fronts, with the biggest success in the league and Champions League.

Liverpool gave us a real run in the league, which is quite fitting. It is a massive improvement on the first season in which we finished fourth. The champions league was unlucky, we played them off the park, but couldn’t finish the job. That was the result of tiredness I should imagine, with the heavy schedule that we had with Man Utd.

In the league we absolutely deserved to win it. We scored so many goals, and defended the best in the league too. Judging by the team report, the only positions we should look at are in defence and goal. That should help us create a bigger margin on goal difference and points.

Overall, a fantastic season, and the team were amazing. Next season we will push for the Champions League and a domestic cup win.

Man Utd team performance

The first team were incredible, as you will see from the photo below. Hojlund in particular impressed, the attacking players were really good. As you can see from the picture below, the average ratings for the team were really high. The only problem is that only one defender is in the top ten of the average ratings.

We also relied on a number of young players like Hannibal and Diallo to rotate into the team. Again they are showing all the signs of being great players, which comes with the territory, you adapt to your surroundings, or mentor groups in this case.

The team have done well to bond as well as they have. It is important for any team to bond, but there are still a few links in the team that need to be developed, such as Onana in goal and Hojlund with anyone around him. Overall it is going to be fun summer, with £50m available and most of Europe wanting my players.

Man Utd transfer ideas

The main idea behind the team is to increase the current ability for the defensive unit. Currently in the first team they are the only players with three stars at Man Utd. Once they are replaced, I have a feeling that our defence will be even better.

As you can see from a brief look at the transfer market, there are a number of players that fit our profile. The only problem is that we just don’t have a the budge to buy more than one or two of them.

Conclusion

As a conclusion, everything seems to self prophesised. Current ability is the here and now, meaning that they are the best form players available, only problem is that they are also the most expensive. The budget we have for the new season is just not enough to continue this trend and we will probably only afford a player or two that will improve the team.

As a result what we could do is eliminate/mitigate the weakness from the squad and look for a more rounded squad. Alternatively we need to start trading up on the players that we have and sell them in the hope of buying someone better.
