Mr midtable
Kasimpasa are the easy going mid table loving team. They do enough every year to get midtable and that is the end of the season. Let’s get them firing!
This is our next instalment of building FM24 tactics with a Turkish Super Lig club. The aim is to take over different Turkish clubs in different positions and build a tactic to get you started. The problem with many new managers is that they do not know their best eleven, our guide helps with that.
This time around we are building FM24 tactics for Kasimpasa. They have been in the Turkish Super Lig for a number of years and are constantly midtable. There is a good opportunity here to change the fortune of this team and get them from good to great.
In the guide, you’ll find everything you need to know to get started with Kasimpasa, including:
- What objectives Kasimpasa have and why they are important.
- The different types of players and how they work in the squad.
- Tips, tactics, and best practices to succeed with Kasimpasa.
Let’s take Kasimpasa from good to great!
Kasimpasa objectives
Our first step in building FM24 tactics with a new team is to take notice of the board and supporter objectives. Using these objectives we will align ourselves with the very fabric of the culture of the club. It will also highlight any wants and needs for the board or supporters in our style of play.
So starting off with the board objectives we can clearly that they are expecting more of the same, midtable obscurity. They seem to be more focuses on stabilising the club through the wage budget and any over aged players contracts. This is good in a way, as it gives us a blank canvass for our tactical approach.
Disappointingly the supporters on FM24 feel the same, midtable obscurity. This is a rather dull approach, but I will be happy to oblige in the first season while we are laying the foundations. After the first season we are looking to push up the table and eventually challenge the top teams.
Kasimpasa First 11
Our next step in building FM24 tactics is to look at the players we have available. This is will give us an idea of how key players we have to build around. We start by sorting the squad into three groups, key, squad and surplus players. The key players are over 3 stars, the squad players are 3 stars and the players under three stars are going.
When looking at the Kasimpasa key players on FM24 you can see that they have a number of good players. We can also see a focus on midfield with the attacking midfielders and the centre midfielder. This gives us a good idea of the formation we are going to need with this team. We also have a WBR or DR available too.
Now we are looking at the squad players in order to flesh out our structure. We can see their is one forward, so that means we will be playing with 5 midfielders and a forward. As well as this a goalkeeper and it leaves us with 4 defenders, it is decided that a 4231 may benefit the team.
Kasimpasa Tactics
This next part in building FM24 tactics is the challenging part, putting it all together. We have a process called layering where we put each of the above assumptions into the tactic. The most difficult put is the roles, as some players play specialist roles that are difficult to put into the tactic.
I always start from the result, which in this case means how we score goals. I then work backwards through the team in how we create the opportunities, to passing and then finally how we defend.
With this team we are going to try and progress the ball to our striker to run onto. This means through balls and passing balls, the wingers are on mixed crossing but it could be an idea to put them on low cross to feet and beat the pace of the backline. The box to box and AMC will be the water carriers and passing the ball through to the forwards.
Defensively we haven’t tried anything fancy, we have fairly slow defenders and so went with balanced mentality. This means that we should not be caught by balls over the top. The idea of this tactic is to win the ball back quickly, pass it out to the wings quickly and get it to the forward to put away on the penalty spot area.
Get started with Kasimpasa today
Kasimpasa seem to be a blank canvas when building FM24 tactics. They are a fairly beige team, caught in the trap of midtable and need someone to get them out. They also have a good selection of players to start with and build a foundation around.
The strength of the team is the midfield, the attacking midfielders seem to be skilful and quick. This is further amplified by direct balls to the wing, where the success of direct balls is higher. The weakness on the other hand is the defence, as a result we could not use a defensive tactic as we would get battered every game.
The opportunity of the team is that a lot of the team are under 30 and could stick around for a few years. This is a great opportunity to build around them before they need to move on. The threat is that if we keep relying on finishing midtable then we will fall down the table, we need to be aiming higher.
