Sevilla FM26 Team Guide – Europa League Specialists Reborn

Time to step back up

This is the Sevilla FM26 team guide! It was always a given that they would win the Europa or UEFA, but not of late. Time to step back up and take those trophies back.

In our Sevilla FM26 team guide we are looking at who the key players are, what tactics get the best out of them and any transfer recommendations.

By the end of this guide you will have fundamental understanding of how to manage Sevilla.

Sevilla FM26 Club Overview

The first step on our journey of the Sevilla FM26 team guide is to understand the vision. This means understanding the board and supporter objectives, see how they align and how they affect you. As Sevilla is pretty much a rebuild any idea of a direction to take the club is good.

Looking at the board objectives and there aren’t any. This means that we can do what we want with our recruitment and with our tactics. We have wrote numerous recruitment and tactical guides to get you going.

The supporters are the same as the board and do not have any firm objectives in place. This is great, we get to run the club how we see fit. As a result this rebuild is a blank canvass so we can harness the strengths of the squad now.

Key Players

This is the part of the Sevilla FM26 team guide where we need to filter out who our best players are. We do that by using the assistant reports and the current ability stars. Once we know who our key players are we then use their best positions to map out the formations which fit them all in.

Sevilla do not have a standard out player to honest, and not many key players. That’s okay though because there is plenty of change coming it indicates that there is a team ethos in place. Strangely we have 3 right backs who are pretty good. Looking at what we have at the moment we could play any formation, there isn’t much information gained here.

Best Youth Prospects

Moving onto the youth prospects and wonderkids now, we use the same technique to identify our best players. This time though, we use the potential ability and not the current ability. If there are players in the squad that do not appear on either list, get them moved on, high performance Sevilla is not the place for them.

Sevilla FM26 team guide wonderkids

At least we have a number of youngsters with decent potential. This gives us a team for years to come and we can develop them, as well as the key players we already have. We have a number of options in terms of formations, but two stand out – 343 or 4231.

Sevilla FM26 Wonderkids & Young Talents

Here we go, the wonderkid section of our Sevilla FM26 team guide. The wonderkids have been a much loved addition over the years and they suit a lot of recruitment models in the world today.

We all like to buy them, develop them, play them and in some cases retire them. Looking at Sevilla they do not seem to have an abundance of wonderkids at the moment, maybe something that could be worked on. Here is the list of wonderkids:

  • Alberto Collado
  • Edu Altozano

While there is not many of them, it is definitely worth trying to develop them as you could have a world beater or a big sale on your hands.

Sevilla FM26 Tactics & Best Formation

This is where we put all the information together from the Sevilla FM26 team guide. We use all the information that we can from the sections above to create our club identity for the season. At this point there aren’t many indicators that we can use reliably to assess the season.

The first thing to address is our skeleton, our formation. As you can see I have opted for a 343 out of possession and a 2332 or WM in possession. I find the 343 ticks a lot of boxes when we looked at the key players and youngsters, plus it is a solid formation.

The next point to raise is why I went with Gegenpress. Well I naturally will opt for Gegenpress as it is the tactical style I have studied most, as well as it is damn effective with the right team.

The WM is a crazy concept in modern football, but it rewards teams with goals and creates a swarm in the event of a turnover. Plus it is very central lending into the Gegenpress way and uses the resting defence 23.

This shape works even better if you use the FM26 433 transition model.

Transfer Recommendations for Sevilla in FM26

Positions to Strengthen

As we pointed out earlier in the Sevilla Fm26 team guide they do not have a any high quality players, but they do have a good team. The key players are missing attacking midfield players, especially in the centre. This is a very important player as it is where the best chances are created for your forwards.

The other area that you could look at is the left back position as again this is a n important position in modern football. Not only does it defend but a good full back will be able to create too.

Potential Signings

As we are using a Gegenpress system the usual combination of attributes will start you in the right direction. The attributes are Work Rate, Acceleration, Stamina, Anticipation and Aggression. Use these player attributes alongside some position attributes will give you a decent list of players to choose from.

Sevilla FM26 Save Challenges

Sevilla used to be in a European final every year and winning it, they were seen as European specialists. Those days are behind them, maybe it is time to bring back those glory days and win some silverware. To make it a challenge though, do a national challenge, using only Spanish players, alongside it.

Conclusion

So I hope the Sevilla FM26 team guide has shed some light on what a great team Sevilla are to manage. They have the history, the supporter base, the infrastructure and squad to get back in the title race, can you do it with them?

I managed Sevilla for the first half of the season to see how the guide gets on. I think it is fair to say that is went pretty well, in 5th with 2 games in hand. While we are not the top scorers in the league we are putting the effort in, and with a couple of major signings that could all change.

However you choose to manage Sevilla, make sure it is fun. They have a great launch pad to get them firing again, good luck!
