Welcome to the Fulham FM26 team guide! It’s a well to do club in West London with a good history. Let’s get them to the next stage!
The purpose of the Fulham FM26 team guide is that we assess the best players, suitable tactics, wonderkids and potential transfers.
By the end of this guide you will have a good understanding of how to manage Fulham.
This is where we start building our Fulham FM26 team guide. We will review the board and supporter objectives and see how this moulds our identity. Beware, going against the board and supporter objectives may put you out of a job earlier than you think.
The first part to review is the board expectations. They want attacking and possession football, I think we’ve heard this before right? This limits our tactical style to Gegenpress or Tiki Taka straight away. I would lean towards the Tiki Taka style here.
Looking at the Supporters objectives, they agree with the board that we need to develop players using the youth system. What this means is that we need to identify players that will step up to the first team. We will then help them develop with creating a youth environment with top coaches, facilities and playing time.
Want to try this with a different team? Check out the Newcastle version here.
Right this is where we identify the key players for our Fulham FM26 team guide. We filter them by the stars on the assistant report, anyone with more than 3 current ability stars is a key player. We then use their best positions to map out a formation to lean into our strengths.
As I suspected Fulham’s defenders are their key players, and there is a lack of quality up front. This shows how solid we are and look at the quality we have in Robinson, Andersen in defence and Leno in goal. Iwobi is one of the most underrated players in the league and combined with Smith Rowe we have creativity.
So now we need to assess the youngsters at the club. Josh King is the top talent at the club, Kevin is going to compete with Iwobi on the left in time and Smith Rowe is also one of our top talents. Something tells me we need to lean into Smith Rowe here, probably in a 4231. Although we are lacking strength centre midfield.
This next section of the Fulham FM26 team guide is dedicated to the wonderkids. I had to include this part to raise your awareness of some of the talent at the club so you could prioritise them. They are:
Develop them the best you can. Upgrade the facilities, get quality staff who are good at working with youngsters and give them game time.
Our next step of the Fulham FM26 team guide is the game model build, turning all the previous data into a strategy. Each one of the previous sections have helped us to build a tactic with synergy. This is where we put it all together.
We have selected the Gegenpress tactical style. This is because of the board and supporter objectives, but also because it is the trend in the EPL. Also the 442/4231 formation that I have created work hand in hand with this style.
The way that the tactic works is to create a compact 442 and when we win the ball move into a 4231. The ST drops into AMC, the wingers push forward and the DMs drop deep to protect the defence. It’s one of the more simple transitions that you can do.
This shape works even better if you use Overpowered 433 transition model.
There are 2 positions that have been highlighted by the Fulham FM26 team guide, they are ST and MC. The ST problem has been at Fulham for a while, they just do not have that goal scorer up front.
The other position is more about depth, the MC has a couple of good players, but after a injury or two then it’s bare bones.

Fulham are on a gentle progress towards the European spots in the Premier League. They are a good candidate for the good to great challenge that we do each year. This is when we take an average team and turn them into a great team, as simple as that.
I think Fulham have got real potential. I really like middle of the range clubs, because it gives you that opportunity to get them a better status. They have always been a team close to my heart with the rise up the table and legendary players over the years.
I used the Fulham FM26 team guide to give them a run out for half a season and I must be honest I was rather impressed. Whether we can keep it up or not is another thing, but we are currently lying in 6th place. Imagine if we could push higher! I will continue this save soon, as I enjoyed it a lot.
Have a go with Fulham they are a great team to start with, and they need strikers. Who doesn’t like buying strikers? Whatever you decide to do with them, have fun guys!
