Crystal Palace FM26 Team Guide – Unlock the Eagles’ Hidden Potential

Soaring Up The Table

Welcome to the Crystal Palace FM26 team guide! This is the one that a lot of people have been waiting for according to my traffic queries.

This guide is fully focussed on Palace and how we can push the Eagles to go even further. We will cover the expectations of the club, the key players and youth prospects. Also we’ll throw in a tactic to get your started.

Crystal Palace FM26 Club Overview

Welcome to the Crystal Palace FM26 team guide! Eagles fans must be pleased with how their team has performed over the last season or two. A couple of trophies and pushing up the table make them look good.

Our goal here is to build the foundations on FM26 so you can chase the success you crave. The first part of that journey is understanding the board and supporters. Both groups have ideas on how we should play, ignore them at your peril.

The board have quite the ideas when it comes to recruitment. They want players under 23 for the first team and players under 22 for the future. While this is a tight margin, it is use to create a production line of players to continue success when a player leaves.

They also want players from the lower level of the domestic game. This is an interesting one as you will need to search in the lower levels the English leagues.

The fans and the board are interested in developing young players using the youth system. This means you need to be upgrading your youth team, your youth staff and your facilities etc. Time to grow your own timber.

Key Players

In this part of the Crystal Palace FM26 team guide we look at the key players at the club. The way we do this is by looking at the assistant reports to determine who our top players are. I then map out a formation using the best position of each player.

Of course Marc Guehi was going to be our best player. Unfortunately he has made it known he is looking at his options so we will be losing him. The other observation is that none of the key payers are over 30. Young squad which looks like it could play in a 343, a 433 or even a 532

Best Youth Prospects

Now we move onto the young players and wonderkids using the same process. This will then give me a good idea as what formation suits both groups.

We have got some interesting and exciting players to work with here. Wharton, Canvot, Pino and Devenny are going to make up the future core when we develop the next batch of prospects. Mapping the positions looks like defensively we are leaning towards 343 or 532.

Crystal Palace FM26 Wonderkids & Young Talents

One thing we like to highlight in the Crystal Palace FM26 team guide is the wonderkids which are at the club. This helps you focus on your best youngsters so you can guide them into the first team. Here they are:

  • Jaydee Canvot
  • Romain Esse

While there are only 2 wonderkids at Crystal Palace there is scope for plenty more. I would focus on bringing in staff that are good at working with youth players and upgrading the training facilities.

Crystal Palace FM26 Tactics & Best Formation

This is where we put everything together from the Crystal Palace FM26 team guide. The above factors are piecing everything together so we have a reason to create the FM26 tactic for the team. This one I think you are going to like, it’s different!

We have gone with the Gegenpress tactical style, although there is no real requirement here. It’s just a safe bet in the Premier League as most teams work on a high press and we need to be wary of that. We also have a young team and that normally indicates that we have the fitness levels to be competent, think Dortmund.

The team was indicating a 343 so I have gone with that as the out of possession transition and the 424 as the in possession option. This is fairly smooth seeing the defender step into midfield, one DM moves out wide, the wing back moves into the winger position and the winger moves into the forward position.

Positions to Strengthen

While the Crystal Palace FM26 team guide has said that it is a balanced guide, and it is, it is a little light in depth. Mainly around the defensive areas on the left ans centre back position.

After doing some research previously the main attributes we want to look at for a Gegenpress style are Work Rate, Acceleration, Anticipation, Stamina, Aggression.

Potential Signings

  • Castello Lukeba (RB Leipzig)
  • Adamo Nagalo (PSV)
  • Finn Jeltsch (Stuttgart)
  • Valentin Gomez (Real Hispalis)
  • Ramon (Sevilla)

Crystal Palace FM26 Save Challenges

Where to start? Crystal Palace are a team on the up and anything seems possible with them right now. Focus on the youth challenge or national challenge and build them into a powerful title chaser.

Conclusion

This Crystal Palace FM26 club guide has been created to help give you a fundamental base to launch your team from.

I have run through half a season to give the club guide a go to see how it works. Below is the league table from just after Christmas where I left it. We basically did what was expected for us.

While we didn’t hit the high notes like we have with other save games, there is definitely potential at Crystal Palace. They have a young squad and it is definitely going places.

Have fun with Palace and get them soaring!
