The board have quite the ideas when it comes to recruitment. They want players under 23 for the first team and players under 22 for the future. While this is a tight margin, it is use to create a production line of players to continue success when a player leaves.
They also want players from the lower level of the domestic game. This is an interesting one as you will need to search in the lower levels the English leagues.
The fans and the board are interested in developing young players using the youth system. This means you need to be upgrading your youth team, your youth staff and your facilities etc. Time to grow your own timber.

Key Players
In this part of the Crystal Palace FM26 team guide we look at the key players at the club. The way we do this is by looking at the assistant reports to determine who our top players are. I then map out a formation using the best position of each player.
Of course Marc Guehi was going to be our best player. Unfortunately he has made it known he is looking at his options so we will be losing him. The other observation is that none of the key payers are over 30. Young squad which looks like it could play in a 343, a 433 or even a 532

Now we move onto the young players and wonderkids using the same process. This will then give me a good idea as what formation suits both groups.
We have got some interesting and exciting players to work with here. Wharton, Canvot, Pino and Devenny are going to make up the future core when we develop the next batch of prospects. Mapping the positions looks like defensively we are leaning towards 343 or 532.

We have gone with the Gegenpress tactical style, although there is no real requirement here. It’s just a safe bet in the Premier League as most teams work on a high press and we need to be wary of that. We also have a young team and that normally indicates that we have the fitness levels to be competent, think Dortmund.
The team was indicating a 343 so I have gone with that as the out of possession transition and the 424 as the in possession option. This is fairly smooth seeing the defender step into midfield, one DM moves out wide, the wing back moves into the winger position and the winger moves into the forward position.
Transfer Recommendations for Crystal Palace in FM26
Positions to Strengthen
While the Crystal Palace FM26 team guide has said that it is a balanced guide, and it is, it is a little light in depth. Mainly around the defensive areas on the left ans centre back position.
After doing some research previously the main attributes we want to look at for a Gegenpress style are Work Rate, Acceleration, Anticipation, Stamina, Aggression.
