Momentum is building!
My Sun Dream Team Tips seem to be hitting the mark at the moment as we are consistently hitting our target each week. This is a good sign and I hope it is working for you guys too.
Let’s crack on we have another game week to plan for!
So we had a scare this week! Cole Palmer got injured in the warm up and couldn’t play. As a result I thought my week was over, until I remembered that we now get 5 subs a season. This is an excellent new feature to the game and this is the perfect example of why and how it works.
I wanted to bring in Saka as a replacement, but he was 100k more than I could afford, so I ended up with Reijnders. While Man City and Reijnders were amazing in GW2, they had a stinker this week, but he still got 2 more points than Palmer, so that is a positive. This a perfect example why you don’t chase hype players and take a data driven approach like our Sun Dream Team tips.
GW2 Round Up
What a good start we have had in the last two weeks! I hope these Sun Dream Team tips are working for you so far. We find ourselves with 86 points this week with two players to play in the league cup. I am just outside the top 2k, getting in there would be great feedback on how my model is working.
The star of the show was Gyokeres. The game was set up perfectly for him, playing in a strong team, against a weaker which he thrives against, buzzing that he has joined Arsenal. It just made sense to make him the captain for this week and he delivered.

I also had goals from Neto, Anthony and Ekitike, complemented with a clean sheet from Saliba. These are great performances, but we need more. More opportunities, more players scoring points. That is how we are going to attack The Sun Dream Team leader board. Overall we have had a good week.
The not so good was Man City, Cole Palmer getting injured Wirtz not getting going and Gibbs-White getting minimum points. Cole Palmer is obviously a player we will take out, I am happy to keep Wirtz and the Liverpool guys in as I believe they will beat Arsenal. Let’s take a look at the fixtures!
Sun Dream Team Tips for GW3 Fixtures
So we are scoring on average 85 points a week, and that is with one fixture a week at the moment. Obviously some players will perform regardless of fixtures, but we need to take advantage of the differentials. This is where we need to be strategic, plus we can see some teams are ready for the season already.

So straight away we can see there are some big games, the main one being Liverpool v Arsenal. The west London derby should provide some entertainment too. Right let’s have a look at what the model predicts for your Sun Dream Team tips.
So the top fixture is the Man United game, the model has nailed them on for a big win so get your strikers to the ready. Maybe Sesko will start here, as I am excited to see how he will get on over the season.
Our second big winner is looking to be Forest. The are looking rather solid at the moment and West Ham have been very poor, going to Forest is not going to help. Be careful how much you commit to Forest here as they are at the Emirates against Arsenal in the next fixture.
The three mid card fixtures that the model has picked out are Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs. Chelsea have got the West London derby that I mentioned earlier, so that could be messy. Liverpool have Arsenal in what could be a game that decides the title. Spurs on the other hand have got Bournemouth, I would say this is the easier of the games to predict.
GW3 Sun Dream Team Transfer Tips
Transfers In
This week the biggest indicators are Man United and Forest. This could be a good week for Bruno Fernandes, Mbeumo and if Sesko starts. Cunha is obviously another shout, but the other three strike an accord with this game. Another potentially easy solution is a United defender, but they seem to be prone to errors.
For Forest Gibbs-White is the man obviously, but also Anderson looks like he could be the key. West Ham’s attack is non-existent so far, so Ola Aina and Murillo could be worhty picks to pick up the clean sheets.
Chelsea is an easy one, they have a great defence as we saw previously. Very good at the back and with Sanchez who seems to be behaving himself so far this season.
Tottenham I like under Frank, they look good and have a decent run of fixtures coming up now. Porro is an obvious choice as he contributes to both ends of the pitch, but also Kudus has started well and could potentially be a key player this season for them.
Transfers Out
Get rid of the Arsenal defence, going to Liverpool in a big game with lots of attacking means the chances of a clean sheet being low. Gyokeres is also a player I may look to dump as he has a habit of disappearing in big games previously.
Aston Villa are not filling me with confidence at the moment and I’m going to avoid them until they click. It’s not their fault, they are just getting crippled by the PSR.
Conclusion
It’s looking good so far! Plenty of points on display and we are hitting our weekly goals. There will be rough patches we know that, but at the moment we have model that works, with a strategy and good rotation.
For me the main game to watch out for is Liverpool v Arsenal. They do have a great record against the top 6 teams, so maybe they will spring a surprise.
Good luck for now guys! May your team perform well.
