GW2 Fantasy Premier League Tips

Let’s restock and go again

Here we go the Fantasy Premier League GW2 is fast approaching!

Now we have a better idea of the first eleven for the majority of teams in the league. Also we have a gauge of how each team wants to play, are they attacking or defensive, will they get me goals or clean sheets.

So here we go, let’s dive in!

So the 2025/26 season is under way and we have had a flyer. Liverpool scored 4, Man City scored 4 and both look really good, I can’t wait to see GW3! West Ham, Wolves and Everton look a little under invested at the moment, early days.

The main thing is that it is early days, so do not panic. The best business leaders persevere with there plans, even if they do not start on a positive footing. You have an idea with your team, make sure you stick with it and work towards it with all your decisions.

GW1 Round Up

The season has kicked off pretty well so far, we ended up on 75 points this week, which is what we wanted. If we can stay consistent to hitting this amount of points each week we are in for a great run. It’s put us in the top 470k, which is nothing special, but it’s one game week so far.

Our main winners here were the Man City players, Ekitike, Sanchez and Pedro Porro. Brighton were unlucky in conceding and that lost the clean sheet. I don’t think having Liverpool defenders is going to work this year, they are all about attack.

Either way, there are no worries here in the team. We will need to use our one transfer because Boscagli isn’t playing fro Brighton which is disappointing, but it is an opportunity.

Fantasy Premier League GW 2 Fixtures

So our next step is to look at the Fantasy Premier League fixtures. This is a really important area, especially for defenders in my opinion. The first week worked out well, we got a feel for who is starting well and whether our model is correct.

The Fantasy Premier League tips fixtures list GW2

You may have read some of our other guides on GW2 where we are using a different model. This model agrees on the majority, but it has a few different ideas for other teams. The PER (Player Efficiency Model) uses a different metric and weighting system to assess individuals to give team strength indicators.

So what does this model say?

Well Arsenal are still the strongest tip this week (no surprise there) and also Man City. I mean this makes sense after the first week and the relative strength of the teams.

The next round of teams, the mid card favourites are Chelsea and Brighton. Chelsea are still one of our favourites, but Brighton is a turn up for the books. The model predicts both of these teams to win and score two goals. This gives us some nice options.

The lower card picks of the week are Bournemouth and Liverpool. Bournemouth according to other model is a really strong pick, but nonetheless a pick. Liverpool are a weaker option, which is understandable against Newcastle, the other problem here is how and will Newcastle score?

Fantasy Premier League Transfer Tips

Transfers In

So basically the team needs to be made up of Man City and Arsenal players to the core. Man City look a better choice due to the fixture schedule, because Arsenal’s next game is Liverpool. Our option around this is sub the Arsenal players out next week or use midfielders and forwards only.

Gyokeres could be a great option if Arsenal do create a lot of chances. Madueke and Saka look like other options that could help. Saka could potentially be a great captain choice if he rediscovers the form from last year.

Man City on the other hand have so many good options, they’ve got Ait-Nouri at the back, they have the Reijnders and Silva in midfield and Haaland that will score goals all day long. Other options include Cherki, but he maybe benches.

Next up are the Chelsea and Brighton picks. Chelsea, I firmly believe will beat West Ham well. Cole Palmer and Pedro Neto are strong picks from the model, followed by Enzo and surprisingly Gittens.

Brighton have some interesting options too, Mitoma is one of the best players in the league and always dangerous. The next pick is Minteh, who looks very promising and has been selected by the model.

Transfers Out

Teams to avoid are Brentford, Burnley, Everton and West Ham. The model feels these clubs are in for a rough time unless something drastic happens. It also has a warning over Wolves and Sunderland, but not the danger the other four teams face.

West Ham are going to need a heavy recruitment drive for the next couple of weeks. As a supporter, it’s difficult to read about them, let alone watch the games.

Burnley unfortunately have been tipped as favourites for the drop, so they are under constant pressure. The good news is that my model recognises the same things as the pundits.

Everton is a surprise, but they seem to have had a weak recruitment drive so far. I hope they stay up as the stadium they have built looks amazing. Brentford are in a strange position, lost some of their best players, manager left for Spurs and an unhappy striker.

Conclusion

As you can see there are a few angles fro you to look at, but the main thing is the strong teams are the strong teams for a reason. The outliers are the ones that make the difference though. Look at Bournemouth, look at Brighton and see what you like about them and if they will score you points.

Whatever you decide to do, do it with confidence in the stats you use and have FUN!
