Arsenal have a always been a fun team, sometimes choosing entertainment over results. They have brought us some of the greatest footballing moments.
This is another edition of how to manage a premier league club in the first season on FM24. How this works is that we take over each premier league club and mange them for a season. The guide will be made of recommendations and suggestions of how to manage the club. This is not a comprehensive guide, but it will be enough to set you on your way.
This guide is going to focussed on the gunners, or Arsenal FC. Arsenal have always been a great footballing side, and had the invincible season under Arsene Wenger. They have rejuvenated under Arteta in the most recent years and are definitely title contenders going forward. Let’s get the gunners firing!

Arsenal FC results
In this section, we review the seasons results so far. Results can help us identify if we are better at home or away as well as which types of teams that we play well against. This is where we can highlight problems in the team and then drill down on where to intervene. FM24 has vast selection of data available and all of it has it’s purpose.
I was excited about this season as Arsenal FC have always been a team I enjoy playing with on FM24. The season started well with two wins and a draw, but then quickly went down hill with 3 losses in a row in September. This forced a change of formation, where we went to a 4231 instead.
This new formation provided a couple of good results and then we hit another speed bump of a loss and three draws, followed by a loss. At this point I was worrying, as the team were adapting and creating so many chances, but not scoring.
Then when December hit, we clicked, in the North London Derby of all games. Then we went and won all of our games until 1st January. What a massive turn around, I was beginning to wonder.
Despite the start/stop season, I have really enjoyed this season and can see us finishing well. We have scored 47 goals and we are only half way through. The goal difference is great too with a +20 GD. While we have conceded a lot of goals, I am not phased by it at all, we just outscore our opposition.
Individual Performance
In this section we discuss the best player performances in the squad. There are so many different stats we can use, but for the interest of keeping this short I will stick with a few. We will highlight strengths and weaknesses in the team and how we can take advantage of them.
The first thing I notice here is that we have a number of players that are highlighted in green. There have been some really impressive performances, Nketiah is the main one. He only stepped in as Gabriel Jesus is injured all the time. He is outscoring his Xg, passing over 85%, scored in every game he has played and playing over 7 rating. Amazing.
Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard have been amazing too. They all sit around Nketiah and support him creating chances constantly and chipping in themselves. This might be one of the best front four I have used on FM24 in an original squad. Have fun.
Arsenal FC Tactics
In this section we discuss the tactics that we have used this season. We always work from the front to the back. I like to know how we expect to win games and then build a tactic towards that result. We normally start with the tactic we built in the day one series.
Firstly I want to put my hands up say I got it wrong with Arsenal FC at first. The tactic I built, the flat 433 was okay for the first couple of games. Then we played against good teams where we became unstuck. After a run of losses things had to change and I used another tactic I had been priming.
I decided to use a 4231 which I used with Bournemouth FC. I basically pushed a MC up to AMC and it changed the complexion of the team. The goals are being supplied by the AML, AMR and AMC with a lethal striker up front. We have now created a monster attacking force, which I am confident will win the league.
The defence is a high line to keep it compact and there are two great ball winning midfielders in front supporting. As well as that Ramsdale is a goal keeper developing his skills.
Conclusion
Arsenal FC area fun team on FM24, they have the ability to score so many goals. We have manged to score 47 goals by the half way point and that is just the league. The attacking midfield positions are the key to the success and I think they all have the potential to go on.
The strength of this team is the attack, the midfield trio have literally been amazing and are probably the best attacking line I have used. While Nketiah has been amazing, there are better strikers and I would to see them take up that position. The weakness of the team is how young the team is, it brings inconsistency while they are growing into their positions.
Opportunities in the Arsenal FC squad are the defence could be tightened up. They are good, but the depth is shallow and the ones there are good but not great. The threat to the team is not winning games, Arsenal FC are in a competitive and need to keep pushing. They cannot afford to lose out on Europe.
