Team Objectives
Our step on our journey to managing AC Milan on FM24 is to look at the board and supporter objectives. These objectives will guide us on how we should be managing the club. Some clubs are more demanding than others and this will influence your tactics or recruitment.
So looking at the board objectives we can see that they have few objectives based around recycling players for cash and reinvesting it back into new signings. This is an interesting strategy and not one we commonly see from a big club in a big league.
First things first, it means our recruitment policy is based around buying younger players. They want to sign them in two phases, either at 18 or younger to develop or under 23 with the intention of brining them into the first team. When coupled with the sign players for profit we are looking to put ourselves in a position to fund the first team.
We are going to need our scouting team focusing on judging potential and set up to scour the world.
Nice easy set of objectives from the fans, go and win the league! With that they want to be the most reputable club, which comes with winning things and buying high reputation players. I’m guessing you are starting to see the pattern too.
AC Milan first 11
Now we have sorted the culture for AC Milan on FM24, we now need to put a team on the pitch. This is where we form a team from the players with have through assistant reports. We will create a list for key and squad players, and anyone else will be leaving.
Looking at the key players, the attack has picked itself. Leao is an absolute monster when he gets going and we will play him as an inside forward due to his dribbling and finishing skills. Pulisic is a bigger question mark, but because Giroud is a traditional target men, we could use him to drop and knock the balls behind the defence.
Defensively we have a number of very fast and physical defenders and top class keeper in Maignan. This means we can play a high line, so attacking strategies are available to us. Also Maignan is a great sweeper keeper and will clear anything that gets through.
The squad looks tasty too, there is a selection of defenders to play a number of different systems, in tersm of depth though it looks like a 4 man defence. The midfield has depth in the centre, while we have two different strikers in Giroud as target man and Okafor as an advanced striker.
AC Milan Tactics
So here we are, the FM24 tactics for AC Milan as we see it. As always we will build our tactic using the information we have already gained above. We will then fill the gaps in with assumptions. Further on down the road I will test the tactic and see how it performs. At this point it is just an idea to get you started.
Luckily enough this is a fairly straight forward formation, something that a lot of teams use in the game today. The hardest part was choosing our striker, Giroud gets the nod due to his current ability. His role will be a support one as he is not a big goal scorer. He will be dropping deep to nod the ball on for the inside forwards to get on the end of.
This tactic is based around short passing patters and playing through the centre. The inside forwards will overload the centre with the AMC playing an important role. The wing backs will move forward and stretch the play offering that crossing option. Our centre midfielders will support the attack and disrupt any attack the opposition muster.

Managing AC Milan on FM24 is a fun challenge to start. The players available are exciting and fresh, the pace and athleticism makes the attack a team to fear. When coupled with the fantastic reputation of the club this makes for a super power in the making.
The strength of the team is the crazy amount of pace available in the attack. Okay we have selected Giroud, but you could play Okafor instead. Due to this amount of pace, you may want to employ direct passing to make it really threatening.
The weakness of the team is the reliance on the first team wingers, this could come back to haunt you if you lean on them too much. It’s time to invest in some younger candidates you could develop to take over.
The opportunity is to take the league by storm, there is no clear favourite in this league. With the youth project that you could build, it stands to reason that when managed correctly you could dominate the league for years to come.
The threat is the fear of failure. If the team fail to achieve their objectives it means that they would fall behind their rivals. This would take a long time to recover from
